Documentary Filmmaker
Daria Seledkina
I'm a documentary director and cinematographer. Behind me: a classical art education, graphic design, and years of photography — portraits, people, spaces. Every stage taught me one thing — to see.
My strength isn't staging but observation: I capture people in their natural surroundings and real, unrehearsed emotion. I'm drawn to movement, to moments and details few others notice. I approach each story individually — there is no template.
Born in Salsk, I've lived in Rostov, Thailand and St. Petersburg, and I'm now moving to Belgrade. I watch a lot of documentary film and read biographies — and bring what I find into my own work.
